About Us

My background

My name is Cathy Bridges. I am an experienced Nurse Practitioner with over 31 years of nursing      experience, including approximately 15 years specialising in respiratory care and diagnostics.

Respiratory care has always been a real passion of mine. Through my work in the NHS, I have seen first-hand how respiratory problems can affect every aspect of a person's life, from their physical health and independence to their confidence and overall wellbeing. My own personal experience of respiratory problems has also given me a deeper understanding of the challenges patients can face.

I currently continue to work within the NHS, caring for patients with respiratory conditions and providing respiratory diagnostic services. Over the years, I have seen how important timely and   accurate testing can be, as well as the worry and frustration that long waiting times can cause for patients waiting for answers.

For many years, I have wanted to establish my own private respiratory diagnostic service. I wanted to create something that would genuinely help people and provide a service that was professional, accessible and centred around the patient.

Why I established SpiroSense

My aim is to provide high-quality lung function and FeNO testing in a calm, welcoming and supportive environment. I want every patient to feel listened to, cared for and comfortable  throughout their appointment.

Accurate respiratory testing can be an important step towards understanding symptoms, supporting diagnosis and helping guide treatment. My goal is to help patients access the assessments they need in a timely manner, with results generated within 48 hours, giving them greater understanding and confidence in managing their respiratory health.

After more than three decades in nursing, respiratory care remains a true passion of mine. Through SpiroSense I am proud to combine my clinical experience, professional knowledge and personal understanding to provide a service that I hope can make a real difference to patients and their quality of life.
